Penny's Challenge #497

We are getting closer to #500.  Still don't know if the DT is celebrating.  I will keep everyone informed.

Hello and welcome back to another ATG (anything goes as long as it is paper) challenge over at Penny's.  Let me tell you who our fabulous sponsors are for this challenge.

Paper Nest Dolls
Prize~3 Digi Images Of the Winners Choice

Stampers Delights
Prize~3 Digi Images of the Winners Choice

Boy howdy these sponsors are the best.  Remember to go and give some love to each one.  They deserve it!

My digital image this week comes from Paper Nest Dolls and is titled Goth Mom.  Have to tell you that I really do not know anything about the Goth Culture.  So here is my take on her.  I kept thinking Morticia Addams. Here is what I came up with...

This is the envelope.  Made from Graphic 45 paper
from the set called Steampunk Spells.  I used mostly
this paper for my project.

Here is my version of Goth Mom.  I think I did
pretty good.  The base is from American Crafts.
One thing I love about G45 paper is that it all is
doubled-sided. All the papers in the set, Steampunk
Spells, are coordinated.  So easy to make a project.
I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils. Then
it was just layering paper to do the front.

The inside used the same paper.  I pasted over
the saying on the green striped paper.  Printed
the happy birthday on olive scrap paper.  The
back has my sticker.

Sometimes I hate blogger.  It has a lot of bugs recently.  But there is always a work around if you have been using it for any length of time.  I couldn't get the cursor to the left.  I fixed it.

So that is what I came up with.  I love the colors.  Whoever receives this will be pleased.  So until the next fortnight,

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and be very, very Blessed!

Penny's Challenge #496

Hello everyone!  Happy Mother's Day a day late.  I had a wonderful time with my 2 daughters.  They came and kidnapped me at 10:00am and we headed east.  We traveled over the Cascade Mountains and into Bend, Oregon.  Had a wonderful time just playing tourist!  Then we came home over Hwy 22.  All I can say is I felt like crying the whole time.  This is where the wildfire hit last fall.  Mile upon mile of desolation.  But with fire new growth comes.  In 25 years it will be all grown back in.  But wow just wow.

It's time for another challenge over at Penny's.  Let's see who our sponsors are.

Dr. Digi's house of Stamps
Prize~2 Digi images of the winners choice

Prize~$10 Store Voucher

I just love the designs that these two sponsors design.  Please go show some love.

Now for my project.  I have used a image from Jan's Digi Stamps called April Showers. It is a perfect image to transition from April to May.  Here is what I created.

For each month, I decide on what I will have
as a theme.  May is always flowers.  At the top
of the left page I have stamped the month.  I
have a set of Stampin Up! monthly stamps
from 2002 called All-Year Cheer #1.  I found
this set at a thrift store for $5.99.  Love this set.
I did a PNC on the flowers with the dates.  I also
use washi tape where the holes are punched for
extra strength.

Here is the page open.  I created the saying by
using overhead projector sheets.  I printed then
cut a background around each phrase.

Just a close up.

May also happens to be me and my best friends
birthdays.  Gosh this year makes 49 years we
have been together.

Just another birthday decoration.

Here is the final page.  I am very happy with the way
this turned out!

So that is it for this fortnight.  I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.  Up next is Memorial Day.  Can't wait.  I declare a 4 day weekend.  I can
because I am the boss lady!

So stay healthy, stay safe and be brightly blessed,
