Southern Girls Challenge for 6-25-2020

Hello everyone!  I do hope that everyone is healthy and safe.  My family (knock on wood) has been healthy and safe through the pandemic.  Continued blessings for health, safety and happiness.  Happiness comes from my craft room.  Love having time to craft.

For this month our absolutely fabulous sponsors are...

Auzz Trinkets N Crafts

Everyone could you spare a few moments and share some love for our amazing sponsors?  They are so generous in providing images for our challenges.  Thank you Sponsors!!!

My image for this challenge is provided by Jan's Digi Stamps and is titled Seashore Christmas.  I am in love with this image.  I may make this my image for Christmas 2020.  So this is what I have created...

Here they are.  I printed out the background
with the color image of the seashell tree.  I used
melted Perler beads and decorated each one in
the colors of the tree.

A better picture of the first tree.

The inside.

Second Tree.

The inside is stamped and embossed.
The bottom stamp says 'May the beauty
of Christmas be with you all year long.

That's it for me for this month.  I will be back next month with another creation.  Brightest Blessings filled with safety and good health.

You're The Man Challenge #208

Hello everyone.  I have a great creation to share with you today.  There is a story behind why I picked this image and I will tell you in a minute.  First let's see who our sponsors are for challenge #208 'You're The Man!'

Prize~$12 Gift Certificate

Prize~$5 Gift Certificate

Prize~2 Digital Images

Oh my golly gracious!  Boy we have some very well known sponsors for this challenge.  Please my crafty friends, go and show these sponsors some love.  Without them there would NOT be challenges anywhere.

Back to my story.  My hubby Bob or as the daughter calls him 'The Bob' is a Master Diver.  He has taught many a person to S.C.U.B.A. dive.  He has salvage dived off the Oregon coast for sunken ships and served as the Dive Master on a cruise around the Bahamas.  Being on the Oregon Coast, the waters here are very cold and divers need to wear a dry suit that will keep out the cold.  The suit Deep Sea Doug has on is called a hard hat rig. Air is supplied via hoses on the surface. So Bob will really appreciate this image and it is just perfect for the daughter to give to him.

This is the Bob.  Maybe a grey head and a few
pounds heavier but it's Bob.  The image is from
Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and is called
Deep Sea Doug. The backgound paper is from a
very old stack that had papers for seasons and
holidays. I used Arteza and Prismacolor pencils
and also regular old sharpies (you know the ones
that get you slightly high or in my case sick).
The diver Bob sign is on light green scrap.

Now remember this card can be for any occasion
and I decided to use it as a birthday card. More of the
same paper from the front of the card.  I just printed the
saying onto the paper using my printer.

Well thats it for the 'You're The Man' challenge #208.  You have until July 6, 2020 to upload your entry to the Crafty Gals Corner Challenge.  I sure hope you can join in!

So for this month, I wish you bright blessings and please stay safe and well.

Happy Fathers Day with Simply Crafty SVG's

I just can't believe that it is June 2020.  Where has the year gone?  Well I have been crafting up a storm.  Since it is the first of June (Happy Birthday to my brother) I have a new project to give you some ideas for Fathers Day.  Here we go!

I will tell you that with Sandy's helpful video putting together this box card was super fast and simple.  I have found with a lot of Simply Crafty's files, what takes the most time it picking out paper.

I have used the Going Fishing Truck Card SVG.  It is just the most perfect Fathers Day card ever!

Here is the finished card.  I used AC Cardstock
that is embossed.  The rest is scraps I had in the
file cabinet.  The Dad and the bumper are mirror
silver paper from the $1 store.
Here you can see the inside of the card.  I did not
make the matching envelope that Sandy
included in the file.

This is a side view.  I inked the rest of the parts
but forgot the sides.  Oh well...

Another view of the finished
Going Fishing Truck Box Card.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit.  I hope you are staying safe and healthy.  Happy Fathers Day!

Bright Blessings,
