Penny's Challenge 'Anything Goes Using Paper'

Here in the states yesterday was a national holiday.  Juneteenth.  Not being very well versed in this particular holiday I educated myself somewhat.  I have a lot more to learn.  But since this is not a holiday that I am used to celebrating, I am a day behind.  I thought today was Monday.  Well tonight I realized and got my supergirl pants on and started commenting and writing.  So if you see any mistakes, please forgive me.  Let's see who our sponsors are.

Prize~~2 single images of the winners choice

Love these two sponsors.  Lovely images, clean lines and just plain fun to make a paper something out of.  Go show some love and say a big thank you also!

Here is my card I have used from Mirtillamente Digi Stamps and Papers called Christmas Dragon.

Here is my little dragon.  I just fell in love with her.  I colored
the image using Prismacolored Pencils.  Then the image was
cut and backed with purple card.  The presents are also colored
using my pencils but I also used neon highlighters.  Hey it
worked.  The Merry Christmas was foiled using dark blue.  The
card base is from a Crafter's Companion kit I purchased in 2018.

Just another look

Here is the inside.  It's very rare when I leave the inside of
my card blank.

The back

So I think I did pretty good for forgetting about the challenge.  (not really).  Make sure you visit Penny's Challenge for another chance to win a prize in 2 weeks.

So from my heart,

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and know you are blessed.

Penny's Challenge #548 Anything Goes using Paper

Hello everyone!  I have decided that this year I was going to keep ahead of my projects that needed to be created.  I have a lot of sewing to get done.  One project is mug rugs for Christmas presents.  I will show you the results in the coming weeks.  On to the new Penny's Challenge.  Here are our sponsors.

Wow!  How lucky is the design team.  2 sponsors that just tick all the boxes.  Please go show appreciation and leave a little love kids.

I can't tell you how excited I was when I got to design with Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps for this challenge.  Her images are exquisite.  I am also glad that I had the time to devote to coloring it.  My image is called The Tender Angie.  Here is what I came up with.

Here is the envelope that I made.  This paper is from
the G45 collection called Voyage Beneath
the Seas c2016.  The sea shells I found
a long time ago at a garage sale.

One of the very first things I do when starting a new
project is try to figure out colors.  And when that fails,
I wing it.  Like this one.  If you want to know what
colors I used just email me. I wanted her to look like
a fantasy.  So I used:  Prismacolor Pencils, Arteza
Pencils, Shuttle Art Alcohol Markers, Prang Pencils
and any other medium I had available.  The Hot
Pink color and the light green skin set off the
rest of this mermaid perfectly.  I used card stock from
Paper House for the base. The pink is a scrap.  I
found a cartoon image of the sea for the background
and sat her on the bottom.  I had some Sea Life
stickers and used them.  Cut the corners from one of
my big dies for corner decorations. I made sure to
blend the color transitions very well.

Just a real simple sentiment.  Never know when
you might need a card such as this.

So that is my new project for Penny's Challenge #548.  You will have until 6-19-23
to upload your creation.

So for now from my heart to yours,

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are very blessed!
