Penny's Challenge #536

Well I blew it.  This post was to be published yesterday.  I completely forgot about it.  Oh well.  Better late than never.  This is also the last post of 2022 for Penny's Challenge.  So let's take a look at the sponsors and my creations.

Prize~2 Single images of the winners choice

Prize~Voucher for 3 sets

These two sponsors are fairly new to me.  They both offer exceptional images that are crisp and clean that print like a dream.  Please go and show some love gang!!!

Now on to my projects.  I do need to explain some coloring mistakes.  Still healing from Carpal Tunnel Surgery (i have a check-up in Feb. 2023).  So my hand does not color very well.  It gets tired quickly and stops and starts kinda screw up my coloring mojo.  So bear with me everyone.

I have colored and created two projects using images from Last Minute Manda.  The first is called You warm my heart #1.  The second project uses another image from Last Minute Manda called You Warm My Heart #3.  Here we go.

For this project I colored using Shuttle Art Alcohol Markers.
Much easier on my hand.  I used some glitter paper for the
whipped cream and the marshmellows.  I printed out the saying
on vellum.  The card base is American Crafts and the backing
paper is from the thrift store.

The inside has a Vellum printed Merry Christmas and you can
see the backing paper much better.

The back.

Here is my second project.  Still using the alcohol markers.
The saying again printed on Vellum.  Backing paper is a very
old DCWV big book of Christmas and Winter 2010.

And finally the back.

I want to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and a very Happy New Year.  Thank you all for your comments throughout the year.  See you again on January 4, 2023.  Until then,

Challenge #535 at Penny's Challenge!

Hi everyone!  I am healing nicely from my surgery and I constantly over do it.  So I am paying for it by still overworking my hand and typing.  These duties must be completed!  (don't get me wrong, i love my design teams i am on). So here are the sponsors...

Prize~3 digi images of the winners choice

Jan's Digi Stamps Shop

Prize~$6 Store voucher

These 2 sponsors are excellent.  Love both designers.  Each have a unique design style to their digital stamp images.  Please go show some love everyone!

On to my project.  I am working with an image from Jan's Digi Stamps called Christmas Skates.  Here is what I designed.

This is a quick and easy card to make for Christmas or
maybe a winter holiday.  I used red embossed card for the base.
Dug through my plastic containers (Costco) for my Christmas
paper and found this.  Love it.  An olive green back and white
ornaments.  I cut out the colored skates with my Silver Bullet
and stuck it on the front.

I added a layer of gray cardstock.  Then for the final touch
printed out the sentiment provided with the digital image.

That's it for this fortnight.  I want to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving holiday.  I'll be back on
Dec. 7, 2022 with another creation.

Until then...

Penny's Challenge # 534 Anything Goes Using Paper

What a whirlwind!  I had Carpal Tunnel surgery on October 25th.  The surgery went perfectly.  (btw i want a quart of whatever it was that put me out.  best nap i've had in a long time)  The not using my right hand was very hard.  But I got the stitches out Monday Nov. 7th.  I do have to be careful with the incision.  The doctor said I should be back to normal in 2-3 months.  Thank you all for the prayers and blessings, they really helped!  Now let's see who our sponsors are:

Prize~3 Digital images of the winners choice

Prize~2 Digital images of the winners choice

I love these two sponsors.  Crisp clean digital images to create with and a variety of subjects.  Please everyone go show some love.

Now on to my project.   For this challenge I am representing Crafty Sentiments Designs image called Christmas Penguin.  Here is what I designed...

Well it's almost time for the count down to
Christmas signs.  But not quite yet.  Here is the
envelope and I used a little star that says
especially for you.  The envelope is green
recollections.

The front of my card is using some elements of a Crafters
Companion kit called Contemporary Christmas.  I really like
this kit.  I have been using bits and pieces for various projects.
The background and the Merry Christmas bell are both from
the kit.  I also used pine tree dies and cloud dies.  The cloud
dies turned into the lake.  I paper pieced the hat and colored
the rest with Shuttle Art Alcohol Markers.  The I added silver
glitter to the floating ice in the blue and purple lake.

The inside has more of the trees and a couple of clouds that
are snow.  The medallion and Merry Christmas banner are
from the Contempory Christmas Kit.

Well that is what I dreamed up for this creation.  If you have questions just contact me.  Thank you so much for visiting!

Penny's Challenge #532. Anything Goes of course!

How's everybody doing?  It's my very favorite time of the year.  It's Halloween season!  Only I am also sad.  I am having surgery in 2 weeks and if I decorate,  I won't be able to take the decorations down.  So here's the plan.  I am not decorating for Halloween this year (i know what!?!).  Instead I will decorate for Christmas the second week of November tree and all.  Now that's a plan I can live with.  For this challenge, Penny's has 2 sponsors and prizes.  Here they are.

Colour of Love Shop
Prize~2 digi images of the winners choice

Dr. Digi's House Of Stamps
Prize~2 digi images of the winners choice

These sponsors are the absolute best.  Always providing images that are crisp and clean and a delight to work with.  Please go show some love and say thank you.

On to my project.  Candle Witch by Colour of Love.  Let's get started.

Now and then you receive an image that just turns out
really great.  My coloring is pretty darned good on this one.  I
colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils.  I paper pieced
her skirt and the rug she is standing on.  The card base and
background paper are from Paper House.  The beautiful moon
paper is Steampunk Spells collection from Graphic 45.

A chipboard sticker from Steampunk Spells.

This is a verse I found on the web

Another Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells chipboard sticker.

I am so excited to see my dear friends reaction when I hand her this card.  Can't Wait!  Now I will have a few posts scheduled in advance before surgery.  Won't be able to color for a while.

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and know you are blessed.

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #531

Hey there, hi there and ho there you are welcome as can be to another blog post featuring Penny's Challenges!  Ready to have some paper crafty fun?  Let's get started with our sponsors for challenge #531.

Prize~$10 Store Voucher

Prize~3 digital images of the winners choice

Penny's Challenge has recently been blessed.  We have the greatest sponsors each and every year.
Please everyone go show some love and give each of them a thank you!

On to my creation.  I have used an image from Fred She Said called 'Christmas Ornaments 1'.  Here is what I came up with.

I have made a Christmas card.  I used some Christmas Red
card for the base.  Next I selected a piece of Graphic 45
that is from the 12 days of Christmas Collection.  (many
moons ago I purchased the entire set at Tuesday Morning)  I
used my Shuttle Art Alcohol Markers to color the ornaments.
I had the picture of the Christmas Tree in my stash.  I
attached the ornaments using gold small round brads.
Finally I added a fluffy white bow on the top.

The inside was put together using scraps from the file
cabinet. (i have a 3 drawer wood file cabinet that I store
paper in) Next I picked out a font from my SCAL 5 cutting
software and put the Merry Christmas on the inside paper.

I hope that you have liked what I have designed for my project.  Please visit Penny's Challenge
and take a look at all the other DT members projects.  They are Fabulous!

So for now, stay safe, stay healthy and know you are blessed!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #530. Anything Goes using paper

Gosh, is it that time again?  Welcome to another Penny's Challenge.  We have some amazing sponsors for challenge #530.  Here they are!

Prize~Voucher for 3 sets

Prize~3 Digital Images of the winners choice

Last Minute Manda and Paper Nest Dolls are fantastic sponsors.  They both have a variety of images that are very well done graphics.  Go show some love gang!

My project is a digi from Paper Nest Dolls and called Witch Ellie riding broom.  Such a fun image to create with.  Here is what I came up with.

Isn't she adorable?  Here is the scoop.  I had left over paper
from a recent project that looked like the night sky.  I cut it
at 5.75 inches square.  Next I needed a star border. I found a
cut file and sized it down to fit the square.  Cut the stars in the
square and backed it with gold mirrored paper.  Elle herself
is colored with Prismacolor pencils.  I created a print and cut
file and used my electronic cutter to cut her out.  The actual
base of the card is a very dark royal blue from American Crafts.

Now and then I get a really great idea and it actually turns
out really nice.  If you have seen the original Disney movie
Hocus Pocus you will remember one of the witches hopping
on a vacuum cleaner because the brooms were gone.  So
The front said My Other Broom, inside says "is a Hoover".
I found a coloring page of a vacuum cleaner and scanned it
into SCAL5.  Traced it and made it a PNC.  After cutting
it out of card stock I paper pieced the vacuum in bright
green color and a scrap of G45.  I printed the word Hoover
and the top saying on vellum and glued them both in place.

More of the sky paper and a vellum printed Happy Halloween
are glue and used.

I colored this vacuum with Prismacolor Pencils and stamped
the little witch that says "Best Witches".

I am so happy with the way this turned out.  It is going to my girls for Halloween.  They will be so surprised.  That's it for this fornight.  See you in two weeks for another Penny's Challenge.

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #529 Anything Goes

I do not know how my brain does this.  Being on a design team has some chores that go along with receiving free digital images.  One of those chores is picking top three for your designated challenge number.  When your name is listed, you pick your top 3.  Do you think I can do this right?  How many years have I been on design teams?

I screwed up again.  I ALWAYS see my name and think that I need to pick top 3 from the challenge that is just ending.  So I am SORRY teammates.  Maybe by my 5 year anniversary I will learn how to do top 3 correctly.    Let's just get this blog started.  Here are the fabulous sponsors and prizes.

Prize~3 Digi images of the winners choice

Prize~2 Digi images of the winners choice

It was so hard for me to chose 'any' image to work with for this challenge.  I love BOTH these sponsors and their images are always so nice to work with.  Thank you sponsors!

Now I am using an image from the The Paper Shelter that is called Would you buy some flowers?  Here is a simple card.  Nothing fancy.  I did do some layering by fussy cutting the images out and using glue dots to make some dimensions for the image.  Here we go...

With my logo on the front of the card it is hard to see the
details.  No coloring on this card.

I think you can see how I propped up the different layers.

I outlined with glitter gel pens the blue flowers and the
brown wheat.  The sentiment was created using SCAL5
which is the cutting program that I use with my Silver Bullet
electronic cutter.

So that is all for this fortnight.  At the end of this challenge I will tell my coordinator I will do the top 3 again (since i screwed up again).  Starting to feel a little like fall.  Halloween anyone???

Stay Safe, Healthy and know you are very blessed.
