Southern Girls Challenge for May 28, 2020

I am so sorry.  With the Covid-19 phase 1 re-opening here in Oregon, USA my head has been in the clouds.  I completely spaced my blog post for Southern Girls.  So better late then never!

We have some wonderful sponsors for this challenge.  Here they are and don't forget to show them some love!!!

KC

Thank you so much to these fabulous sponsors.  If you live in Austraila or New Zealand, remember to add your county to your links name or you won't be entered into the AU/NZ Prize drawing.  My image came from Oddball Art and is called Kawaii Bear on Stack of Presents #206.  Here is my inspiration...

This was colored using Arteza pencils.
I added the sequins and cut out the
holly leaves.

Here is the inside of the card.  The
card measures 6 x 8.

The back with my sticker.

Well that is it for this challenge.  Just an FYI, I am using the new blogger format.  Gang start using it.  This format will be the only one available starting the end of June 2020. I usually write and schedule a post in ~20 minutes.  A hour and a half later and I am finally done.

So from me to you,  Bright Blessings and Stay Safe my friends.

For the ladies.

It is time for a new challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner.  This month is #207 and the theme is For The Ladies.  We have one absolutely Fabulous sponsor for this challenge.  Here she is...

Prize~$10 Gift Certificate

May I just say that MoonFlower is amazing.  Her images are clean and crisp.  Oh and oh so gorgeous also!!  Go show her some love my crafties.

The interesting thing about my image, Callas Lilly Faerie was picking out the colors to color with.  I used my Arteza and Prismacolor pencils.  So here is how she turned out.

This is a large card.  It is 6 x 8 inches.  The card stock is
American Crafts.  Background paper is Paper Pizzaz. I
fussy cut the faerie out with my Tonic Needle nosed
scissors.  Used 3M spray adhesive throughout the
project.

Please click on the pics to see the detail in each photo.  I
have learned how to color wings from youtube videos.
The Callas Lillys are also blended.

The Flamingo and sayings are a stamp set I purchased
from Witt & Sass stamps.  Sorry gang, it's not available
anymore.

Finally the back of my big card.

That is it.  If you would like to request a listing of the colors used just PM me at my FB page, Have Colors Be Happy.  Thank you so much for stopping by.  Hope to see you again very soon with another project.

Bright Blessings,

Happy Mothers Day

Since I only post on the first Monday of each month, how was everyones Easter?  We didn't go anywhere or do anything different that Sunday.  Oh, I think I might have mowed the lawn.  I am having a horrible problem knowing what day it is.  Don't ask me the date, I don't know.

One thing I do know is that Sandy is a FABULOUS designer.  She has 3D cut files for a specific occasion or you can easily adapt a svg file and make it your own!  For this Monday I have chosen Flower Box with Handle.  Now I am adapting these (I made 2) for a Mothers Day gift for my neighbors.  They are both wonderful towards Bob and I.  Just thought a little something would be nice to say thank you.  Here is my creation!

These turned out so pretty.  I used Pocket Full of Posies printed
paper from DCWV 2010. The solids are from American Crafts.
The light blue and orange are textured.  The teal box on the
left is Bazil.  Bright blue and yellow are from Recollections.
The gems are ones I bought from Joanns on clearance for
.99 cents many moons ago.

In this picture you can the what the other sides on the box
look like.  The top picture showed the other side.  The brads
are ones I have collected over the years.

Using the left over flower insides, I made some simple tags.
I put the tags on with metallic embrodiery floss from DNC.
Well that is it from my neck of the woods.  I have to tell you (and you probably have already noticed this) I am amazed how creative I can get using just the items I have on hand.  She who has the most craft stuff wins more craft stuff.

Take care and stay safe my crafties.  Bright blessings,
