Penny's Anything Goes Challenge #570

Hey everybody!  Welcome to my blog.  So happy to have you visit.  Here are our sponsors.

What can I say about these two fabulous sponsors?  They are very generous.  Images for all occasion's.
Crisp and clean images to print and color.  Just love these two sponsors to the moon!  Go show some love and leave a thank you!

My image comes from Mirtillaments and is called Enjoy Summer!  Here is my creation.

I couldn't find a beach scene to print that I liked.  So I found
my dies from Sizzix, sets #665392 + 665381.  Both of these
sets have all sorts of beach related items.  I picked a few that
I thought would work.  Cut them out and glued them together
using Art Glitter Glue.  The little Miss is colored using my new
colored markers (off brand).  All the card is either Coordinations
or American Crafts.

Here is the inside.  the back has my logo and 'j' sticker.

I think I will send this to a gal that is going through a rough patch.  Might be just the thing to cheer here up!  That's it for this fortnight.  See you all in two weeks.

So from my heart to yours, Be Healthy, Be Safe and know you are blessed.

Penny's Challenge #569 Anything Goes

Hey everyone!  Did you and yours have a nice Easter Celebration?  I certainly hope so.  This blog entry is going to be very short.  So let's get started.  Here are the sponsors.

Two of the really great and generous sponsors.  Please go say a thank you and leave some love.

My project comes from All Dressed Up and is called Love to knit. This is my creation.
Sorry this post is so short.  Today was my monthly grocery shopping day and I
am falling asleep at the keyboard.

I colored each one with my Castle Arts Oil based pencils.  I
paper pieced the headbands and glued buttons on the bows.
On the girl in the red I actually used straight pins and the
purple girl I just colored then in.  The insides both have the
paper that was used on the fronts.  The sentiment is Thanks So
Much!  (I am actually learning how to knit)

Like I said this post is short.  I am heading to bed.  Have a wonderful fortnight.  From my heart to yours,

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed!

Penny's Challenge #568 Anything Goes

Welcome!  How is everybody doing?  Are you ready for Easter this Sunday?  Me?  Not so much.  I have 4 little neighbors that I make little treats for but other than that, we just don't celebratei .  My hubby was raised as a Jehovha's Witness.  He is still fed up with organized religion.  So we just don't celebrate and watch NASCAR Racing instead.  So let's see who our sponsors are:

Wow!  2 of the most amazing sponsors I have worked with for over 10 years.  I can't say enough about how wonderful their images are.  The Paper Shelter always has lots of extras in each file.  Polkadoodles images are crisp and clean just as The Paper Shelter's are.  Please go and leave some love and say a big thank you!

My image to work with for the challenge comes from The Paper Shelter.  Elegant Era Muse is my image.  Here is what I came up with.

I really didn't have time to make a card that was all that fancy.
I did a print and cut on the lady.  Printed out the background.
Added a bronze glitter circle and some hot pink skinny washi
tape and stuck a bow on it.  My card is done!

Here I have used the provided background and embossed a
very elaborate happy birthday stamp in bronze.  The back of
the card has my logo and my inital J.

Well that's all I have for this challenge.  See you in a fortnight.  Heartfelt wishes for a very nice Easter Celebration.

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed!!

Penny's Challenge #567 Always Anything goes

Hey everyone!  Can you believe it is March?  Time flies even faster each year.  Seems it should be late 2018.  Oh well.  We have a new sponsor and a familiar one.  Here they are.

Many times I have used digi stamps from Colour of Love.  Love her images and collect her Possums.  Streamside Studios is brand new to me.  Love the images.  Very nice.  Good line closure for print and cut.  So please go and say thank you and share some love.

Now my project uses a set of images from Streamside Studios called Strawberry Cows.  My little neighbour girl has a birthday coming up and this cow was perfect.

I colored my cute little cow using my new Castle Arts Gold
Oil Based color pencils (still loving them).  I made sure the
strawberries were colored Alanna's favorite color PINK. I printed
the little chicks on yellow card and colored the beaks and
combs a bright orange. The card base is light blue.
Background is from a 12x12 paper pad I (of course)
got at a thrift store.

I will also write a caption and include 7 dollars us.

Boy I didn't realize how crooked this was.  Here is the
back.

Well that's it for this challenge.  Remember our challenges are always anything goes.  I will see you in a fortnight with another project.  From my heart to yours,

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and know you are blessed.

I am extremely happy with all the choices for challenge #566.  These 3 sponsors are wonderful. Crisp and clean images that just make crafting so much more enjoyable.  Go say a thank you and leave some love everyone!

My creation is from Hetty Clare and is titled Set of 3 Girls--Girl #3.  This is what I finally came up with.
Do you ever just get into a funk?  Well my mojo just flew the coop for the past week.  Slowly it's returning.  One day at a time.

I colored her using my new Castle Arts Oil based Colored
Pencils (which I am loving).  The card base is from a large
stack that did not have a cover from my favorite thrift store. Oh,
I also did a print and cut on the image after coloring.

Yes the large pad of paper is double sided.  Added bonus.  The
stamp that says happy birthday is one I picked up in the cheap
bin at Joanns.

Finally the back.

Well that is it for this fortnight.  I hope you have a very crafty 2 weeks and see you then!

From my heart to yours, Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed!

Two great sponsors for our challenge.  Please go show some love and maybe leave a thank you also!

On to my inspiration.  I am using an image from Dr. Digi's (I have so many of them and use them all quite a bit) called Cancun Cankles Karen.  This was so much fun to create!  Here we go!

Would you believe that I actually had a piece of 12x12 vacation
paper of Cancun?  That is the background paper that is on bright
red card base.  Now Karen is paper pieced from scraps in the
file cabinet.  My daughter saw this and said "Mon it looks like
you in the summer time."  Well maybe a little.  Now the carry
on is colored and the sling bag is also.  I used my new Castle
Arts Oil colored pencils.  Really loving them.

Now this is the left inside panel.  Yes these were included in
the travel scrapbook kit that I got somewhere.

This background paper was also included.  I printed out the
sentiment on vellum and it says Happy Retirement.

The back of the card.

The envelope flap sticker I made.  The stamp says Mexico.

See I told you I had fun with this card.  Love going back to paper piecing.  I got my card making start over at Scrappy Dew in 2011.

So that's it for this challenge.  Be back in just a fortnight for more fun over at Penny's Challenge.  So from my heart to yours,

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed.

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Challenge at Penny's #564 Anything Goes

Hey everyone!  Glad you could make time and come visit.  I am here to inspire you for Penny's Challenge #564.  Here are our sponsors.

I haven't had the pleasure of creating with images from Alex Syberia Dessigns yet.  But I can tell you that the company is very nice to offer to be a sponsor.  Now Sheepski Designs I have had the pleasure of designing and creating with.  Thank you Andrea for all you do.  On to my creation.

Like I said my image is from Sheepski Design and is called Christmas Snooze.  Here is the final card.

I just love the bright red card base from Paper House.  The
dragon is colored using my new oil-based color pencils from
Castle Arts.  They blend like magic.  The actual stars are red
and the ornament is actually silver.  Metalic colors just do not
photograph very well.  (maybe no flash?). The background
is a piece of scrap Christmas paper I have had for eons.

The inside.

Well that's it for this challenge.  The next challenge will be on Feb. 14th, Valentines/Galentines Day. So I will have a card relating to this holiday.  Thanks so much for taking the time to visit.  See you again soon and from my heart to yours,

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed!

Penny's Challenge #563 Anything Goes!

Hello from a very cold and icy Oregon, USA.  The high temp today was 17 degrees with about 3/4 of an inch of ice on everything.  Freezing rainstorm hit early Saturday morning.  Hasn't let up yet but tomorrow (sunday) will be a little better.  To all my friends in the southern hemisphere, just wait!  OK enough of me running my fingers.  Here are the sponsors for this challenge.

Ching Chou Kuik Digital Stamps

These two sponsors are incredible.  The images are crisp and clean and just perfect for print and cut.  Please go on over and leave some love and a big thank you.  They really do appreciate it.

On to my project.  This project actually took about 2 weeks to put together.  My image is from Ching-Chou Kuik and is titled Harmony. Here we go...

This image came grayscale.  I added the color.  Some areas I left grey.
I think I used every set of pencils, markers and some watercolor on this.
Lets just say I used anything I thought was crafty.  I printed the
image on a very light weight watercolor paper.  I had thought
that I would watercolor the entire image.  Ended up just doing the
big leaves the parrot is sitting on.  All the rest is either Bic,
Sharpie or Shuttle art markers.  I used Prismacolor, Arteza and
Castle Art Oil based colored pencil sets.  The parrot is a Scarlet Macaw.
I tried to color it was close as possible to an actual parrot.  The other
images are colored according to my imagination!
Found the sentiment looking around Bing under parott cards.

The base is a beautiful tissue paper I got for Christmas.
I used a die to cut out the happy birthday sentiment.  This will
be going to my Daughter-in-law (shhhhhh she doesn't know)

There are so many steps that I did to create this card.  I am really proud of this one.  Love how it turned out.  But I would be writing a book to list all I did.  I will see you in a fortnight for another challenge at Penny's!

So from my heart to yours, Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed.
