Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge #478

Can it get any hotter?  Here in Oregon, U.S.A. the past few days have been in the 100's on my back porch.  This is very unusual.  Sure we get maybe 3/4 days of really hot summer weather but not all at once.  Doesn't really matter I just stay in my house with A/C.  It helps make my craft room really nice with all the machines humming.  OK on to todays business.

I have a wonderful creation to share for challenge #478.  Before the reveal let's see who our fabulous sponsor(s) are.

Please my dear friends go and show some love to these sponsors.  I will be visiting them shortly.

Now on to my project.  I have used a file from Dr. Digi's called Simon the Seal.
I have also used a file from Simply Crafty SVG's called Pool Party.  Here is what I came up with.

If you guessed a box you would be correct.
All the papers used are made by American Crafts.

Here is the inside.  I use Art Glitter Glue to put
together all my 3D projects.

This confused me when I cut it out with my
Silver Bullet Pro.  It's a ladder!

The paper the raft is made of came from a big
haul from a thrift store.

Now for the lid.  Again I used Art Glitter glue.  It
holds so quickly and dries clear.

I was amazed to find this sheet of 12x12 pool
paper.  Can you say jumping up and down happy!

I printed Simon The Seal onto gray dotted
American Crafts Embossed paper.  I mirrored
Simon so he could be seen on both sides of the box.

See just the reverse.  I glued Simon together at
his head and then created a tab to connect the
2 Simons. I also added a pink chalk nose and white
gel pen eyes.

So here is the actual box put together.  I have
to say I love how this turned out.

Here is the back side. I decorated it with some
miscellaneous beach stickers.

Now can you keep a secret?  This box is for my daughters birthday.  When she was little she had a horrible time with bronchitis.  When she would cough I would call her my little seal.  Hence the gift box with Simon The Seal on top.  (BTW she is all grown up)

So that is it for this week at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge.  I will see you again on August 30, 2020 with another creation.  I hope you stay healthy and safe.

Bright Blessings,

Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge #477

Huh?  What is this?  Well that is my big surprise.  I have the honor of being on the design team forPenny's Paper-Crafty Challenge.  With Southern Girls Challenge shutting their doors I had some extra time on my hands.  Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge basically dropped into my life.  I want to thank Tracy Moloney and Linda Mc Enery for this opportunity.  I hope to try some new techniques and improve on my coloring.

So for my first challenge with Penny's (which all challenges are 'anything goes') our sponsor(s) are...

Prize~4 free Bugaboo Images

What great sponsor(s).  Please everyone go show some love.  Without our sponsors there would not be any Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge.

For the first challenge I chose an image from Bugaboo Stamps called Valentine Girl Elephant Set 02

This is my first slimline card.  Isn't the little elephant
just the cutest darned thing.  So enjoyed coloring
this little one.  The sentiment was provided by Bugaboo
Stamps.

My card is a slim-line but it is also a diagonal one.
You can find the instructions over at Splitcoast Stampers.

Here is my card fully opened.  The paper used is
very old.  The sentiment for the inside was also
provided by Bugaboo Stamps.

Just a close-up.

I made an envelope and just happened to have an
extra little elephant.

Well that's it.  If you would like any more information please feel free to reach out.  I'll see you in 2 weeks for the next Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge.  I hope you stay safe and stay well.

Bright Blessings,
