Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #602 always anything goes using actual paper

Well hello everyone!  As of this moment (6:21pm) the western Oregon coastline is under a tsunami 'watch'.  If anything comes, it will be around 11:30 pm pacific daylight savings time.  There was an earthquake in the Aleutian Islands off the Alaskan coast.  The part that Russia still owns is where the quake was centered.  Richter Scale measurement sits at 8.7.  Massive destruction.  I will let everyone know if anything does happen.  I live about 66 miles away.  We shall see.

On to the new challenge.  It is anything goes using actual paper.  But first here are our fabulous sponsors.

Now Alex Syberia Designs is a very new sponsor to me.  I do like the images.  Dr. digi's is another one of those companies that feel like an old friend.  Please go and show some love and leave a thank you if possible.

My design team project is from Alex Syberia Designs and is titled the The Magic of Christmas.

I have always wanted to try foiling using many different colors.
This is the perfect image for that.  So I printed the image out on
my laser printer.  I have a wonderful collection of foil colors.  I
chose green, red, mint green, gold, light blue, blue, pink
and purple.  I cut out pieces of foil and taped it to the section I
decided on.  I did the whole design.  Well........
The foiling took but it was very messy.  I tried to clean it up.
This is the best I got it.  The image is fabulous but my foiling
technique needs work.  Oh well, live and learn.

Here is the inside.

The back.

See a design team member doesn't always have success.  I guess it's not really bad.  I just wanted the image to come out crisp and clean.  I'll keep working on the technique.  I will see you in a fortnight for another challenge brought to you by Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge.

So until then from my heart to yours, Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed!!!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge. Always Anything Goes #601

Hello everyone!  Summer was a little late this year for Oregon.  Well today 7-16-2025 will be in the triple digits.  Way to hot for this gal.  I'll stay in the house and craft!!!  Here are the sponsors for challenge #601.

These two sponsors are simply amazing with their artwork.  Many digital stamps to fit your needs.  Please go leave some love and maybe a thank you.

My image is from Colour Of Love and is titled Wild Gypsy Roses.   Here is my creation.

What a beautiful image from Heather.  Have you ever tried to
color black hair?  Well my black hair is actually blue indigo.  I
just could not make it using black.  I have used PrismaColor
pencils, Castle Arts oil colored pencils, Shuttle Art alcohol
markers and probably other items I have forgotten about.  I did
a print and cut leaving a slight border around.  The paper is some
that I picked up during a Tuesday Morning run in 2019.  The card
base is olive green and then a pale yellow floral  G45 card on top.

The inside has a wonderful verse that I found online.

Just a close up.
The back!

Well that is it for this fortnight.  I hope you all have a wonderful two weeks and I will see you then.

From my heart to yours,
Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed!

Penny's Paper Crafty challenge #600 Anything goes using paper

Hello from beautiful Oregon, USA.  It's almost our Independence Day which is July 4th.  Now in Oregon there is a phrase that 'summer starts on July 5th'.  That is going to be true for this year.  Tomorrow is July first and it's going to be 90+ degrees.  Rain is expected this coming weekend.  It's crazy!  But crafting is happening everyday.  So here are the sponsors for our 600th Challenge.

🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇

I have to admit, I love these sponsors.  The images are crisp and clean and perfect for print and cut.  They both have different styles.  So please go on over to each and leave a little love and maybe a thank you!

On to my project.  My image is from Mirtillamente Craft Shop and is titled Autumn Witch Hat.

I have a confession to make.  I am a planner person from way
back.  Absolutely love anything to help keep my life on track.
When I found the planner by Happy Planner I was hooked.  So
this is the 5th year using this system and I have pretty much
perfected the way I set each month up.  First I create a monthly
image page announcing the month.  So for October 2025 I have
colored using my shuttle art markers and paper piecing this
adorable Autumn Witch Hat.  I just happened onto this frame
featuring the moon and stars and it worked perfectly.  I cut
the frame out of royal blue glitter paper and the backing is a pretty
silver.  The paper background is from some book but I couldn't
tell you which.  The blue bubble edge is washi tape.

Here is a close up.  I paper pieced the book with some old scrap
of variegated tan paper.  October is cut from hot pink card stock.
The yellow flower and bright green button are from my big box
that is metal of buttons.

That is going to be it for this edition of Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge.  I hope to see you again in a fortnight.  So until then,

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #599 Anything goes using paper

Hello all!  Short and sweet post for challenge #599 at Penny's.  Here are our sponsors.

Two really great sponsors for this challenge.  Go pay them a visit and leave some love and a big thankyou!

I am working with the image from The Paper shelter called Coconut.  Here is something different for a change.

This is my cover for Spetember 2025 for use with my Happy Planner.  I have been a planner girl since 8th grade.  I always have a place to put appts. and important dates.  But with the Happy Planner there is a lot more I can do to personalize it.  This is the cover.  On the opposite side is the start of the monthly calendar.  First off I colored a beach scene from Creative Haven books by Angela Porter titled DayDreams (here is the link.)  I used a very old set of Prang Colored Pencils.  I wanted to have the background reflect 'coconut' and the colors on her.  I think I did that a little to good.  I had to make a shadow to go behind here to make her visible.  I used my new Lanquo Markers from Temu for the water.  This is going to take some practice (not letting the kids-cats on the desk while coloring.)  When this was completed I added a 8.5 x 11 piece of dark blue card to cover the front illustration.  Glued on my new cover and punched the tabs.  Cover is complete.  Here are some more pics.

That is it for this challenge.  I will be back in July with another creation from Penny's
challenge.

So from my heart to yours,  Be Healthy, Be Safe and know you are blessed.

Happy Birthday
USA!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #598 Anything goes using paper!

Hello everyone!  Glad that you could make some time for me.  Can you believe that it's June 4th already?  That can only mean one thing.  Christmas in July is almost here.  Busy busy time for design teams everywhere!  Here are the sponsors for our challenge.

Rachelle Anne Miller

Patties Creations

Patties Creations and Rachelle Anne Miller are two digital companies that can provide a digi for just about any occasion.  Crisp and clean images that can be print and cut easily.  Go on over and leave some love.  They do appreciate it.

My image for this fortnight is from Rachelle Anne Miller and is called Santa's little helper.  This was a very quick card.  Hope you like it.

Isn't she just the cutest little thing?  And the puppy with the
reindeer ears.  This will be one of my images for Christmas
this year.  I used a light blue card as a base with a layer of
lavender and a sheet from a Crafters Companion Christmas
card kit titled Contemporary Christmas from 2019.  I colored
the image using my Castle Arts Oil Pencil set.  There is a
button on the end of the hat and a bit of green floss to tie
the present sack.

The heavy card stock pieces are from the kit.

Then of course the back.

That is my creation for this challenge.  I will be back in two weeks with another creation.

So from the bottom of my heart to yours,

Stay safe, stay healthy and know you are blessed!

Penny's Paper Challenge #597 Anything goes as long as it is a paper project

Hello everyone!  I'm back with another project for Penny's Challenge.  Announcement!! I will be out for the challenge on June 4th, 2025.  I am having oral surgery on May 27th, 2025.  I just won't be up for it.  So for this challenge here are the sponsors.

What a great group of sponsors for this challenge.  Please gang go show some love and a thank you.  They would greatly appreciate it.

On to my project.  I have selected a image from Leann's World 101 called Azalea's New Dress. Here it is!

Here she is!  I love the way she turned out.  the image is colored
with Prisma Colored Pencils.  I see that I am leaning more towards
bright colors right now.  Purple and red really pop on a background
of white and tiny flowers.  The base is bright red cardstock from
Bazzel.  Next is a layer from Graphic 45.  Then Azalea tops off
the card.

Here is the inside.  With the card titled 'Just a Note' this will
be a great space to write a message.

The Back.

I forgot to show the envelope!

Well that is my project for this fortnight.  I will see everyone for the challenge on 6-18-2025.  So until then stay safe, stay healthy and know you are blessed.

Penny's challenge #596 Anything Goes (as always)

Ok kids.  Here is my contribution to Penny's Challenge # 596.  But first  let me tell you who our wonderful sponsors are.

Last Minute Manda

SheepSki Designs

I just love creating with both of these sponsors.  Go show some love gang!  Maybe a thank you is also in order.

I have used an image from SheepSki Design called It's A Spring Thing.  Here is what I came up with.

I had a lot of fun getting the tree and flowers to play nice together.
The envelope is light blue.  The card base is lighter blue with
scrap background.  Hello Spring is in mirrored card stock
many years ago from Dollar Tree.  Now I used colored pencils
from Prisma Color, Castle Arts, Arteza and even some from
Costco to color this image.  I think it turned out pretty good.

Thank goodness for stickers.  These are from Creative
Memories from long ago.

I have a new personal sticker and I decorated the envelope.

Well that is it from me for challenge # 596.  I will still be able to contribute to challenge #597 but after that probably not for a few challenges.  My dream is coming true!  I am having oral surgery for dentures.  I have had rotten teeth all my life.  I am going to be smiling the rest of my years!!!

So from my heart to yours, Stay Healthy, stay safe and know you are blessed!!

Happy Mothers Day everyone!
