Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #607 Anything goes (just let us know if digital)

Hello everyone!  Time for my installment for Penny's challenge.  Here are the sponsors.

Great sponsors and great images.  Go leave some love and maybe say thanks?  On we go.

My image is from Polkadoodles and it is titled Lantern Friends.  Here is my creation.

This was a fun one to make.  I started with light green card as
a base.  Next I decided that pink could be a Christmas color.
I colored the gingerbread kids using my Castle Arts Oil based
colored pencils.  I paper pieced the dress, shirt and pants.  Also
the scarf.  I also used my new tools.  Lanquo Gel Pens and Metallic
Gel Pens.  I love these pens.  Smooth to color with.  So the hats
stripes and hair are all metallic and shimmer.  Last year before
the great broken arm, I had luck at St. vinnies with rub on's.
They were all Christmas themed.  So the branches, stars
and ornaments are stickers.

Oh the joy of embossing tinsel.  The stamp does say Seasons
Greeting.  I will get the hand of this someday.

Here is the envelope I created.  I really like decorating
envelopes.  Just something a little special.

Well that is it for this challenge.  Hope to see you the first of the month of November if not sooner.  So from my heart to yours,

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and know you are blessed!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #606 Anything Goes (just let us know if digital)

Hello everyone!  Have a change of plans for Penny's Challenge.  I will only be posting for 1 challenge each month.  My significant other has Frontotemporal Dementia.  The is year 3 and I just do not have the time to complete challenges right now.  So just one challenge each month for me.  Here are this months sponsors.

Here are a couple of the nicest sponsors I have the pleasure to work with.  Love all the images.  Please go show some love and leave a thank you if possible.

I am working with Dr. Digi's this challenge.  The image is called Stuck Santa.  This was a lot of fun!  Here we go.

I have colored the image with alcohol markers from Shuttle Arts.
I paper pieced the chimney.  The snow is glitter and shiny white
heavy card stock.  The Background is snow flakes from my scraps
and the base is deep red.

I found this poem by searching bing.  I printed it out and
made sure to credit the maker.

Well that is my project for the Month of September.  I will be back at the end of next month.  But for now,

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #604 Anything goes using paper.

Hello and welcome to a melting Jana.  The heat is extremely high for Oregon.  Right as I type this the heat outside at 2:35 pm pst is 95.6.  My comfort zone is 68-78.  Thank goodness for A/C.  Due to climate change in the pacific northwest it will probably continue to rise.  Here are the sponsors for challenge #604.  Please note in your post if you are all digital.

I love and appreciate these sponsors.  I am happy to get the word out about the wonderful images.  Please go show some love and give a thanks for sponsoring the challenge.

On to my project.  I am using an image from Patties Creations called Christmas Cactus Trio.  Here we go!

The base of the card is cream and a layer of peach.  I wanted
to match the background.  It's a picture of Quartzsite, Arizona.
I colored the cactus using my Prismacolor Color Pencils.  Next
Cut the image out leaving a small shadow layer.  I used my new
Langou markers to outline the pots and color in the Christmas
lights on the bottom of the cactus's.

The inside.

The Envelope.  I have really gotten into decorating envelopes
if possible.

Well that is it for challenge #604.  Be back in a fortnight with another project that I hope will inspire you.  Feel free to take my idea and do something different.  Until then,

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed.

Pennys paper Crafty Challenge #603 ATG

I have been perplexed for about 7 weeks now.  I know that a lot of crafters are doing digital cards and scrapbook pages.  As you all know, Penny's Challenge is for physical creations using paper.  How about this?  Please say if your project is physical or digital.  No difference in prizes but then the team knows.  Just seems like a courtesy.  I AM NOW OFF MY SOAPBOX.   Here are the sponsors for Penny's challenge # 603.

Go visit and give a big thank you to these sponsors.  They are both very gracious in sponsoring our challenge.

OK this is going to be short and sweet.  I TOOK A FALL EARLIER.  TIME FOR SOME PAIN RELIEVERS.  My card is using images from Last Minute Manda.  Here we go!

Envelope

Isn't she the cutest little mousie.  I colored her with Prisma-
color Pencils.  The bow, dress and apron are paper pieced.  I
have used light aqua base cardstock, topped with pink snow-
flakes and a very small scrap I have saved for a couple of years
that has teapots on it.  The hot pink is a background die from
Amazon.

The Pennant die is Temu.  I used Prismacolor Pencils and then
paper pieced the clothes for Miss Mousie.  The words are
printed on Vellum.

The back

That's it for this week.  I hear a heating pad calling my name for my knee.  Take care everyone.  I will see you all in a fortnight.  So from my heart to yours,

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed.

For the U.S.A.

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #602 always anything goes using actual paper

Well hello everyone!  As of this moment (6:21pm) the western Oregon coastline is under a tsunami 'watch'.  If anything comes, it will be around 11:30 pm pacific daylight savings time.  There was an earthquake in the Aleutian Islands off the Alaskan coast.  The part that Russia still owns is where the quake was centered.  Richter Scale measurement sits at 8.7.  Massive destruction.  I will let everyone know if anything does happen.  I live about 66 miles away.  We shall see.

On to the new challenge.  It is anything goes using actual paper.  But first here are our fabulous sponsors.

Now Alex Syberia Designs is a very new sponsor to me.  I do like the images.  Dr. digi's is another one of those companies that feel like an old friend.  Please go and show some love and leave a thank you if possible.

My design team project is from Alex Syberia Designs and is titled the The Magic of Christmas.

I have always wanted to try foiling using many different colors.
This is the perfect image for that.  So I printed the image out on
my laser printer.  I have a wonderful collection of foil colors.  I
chose green, red, mint green, gold, light blue, blue, pink
and purple.  I cut out pieces of foil and taped it to the section I
decided on.  I did the whole design.  Well........
The foiling took but it was very messy.  I tried to clean it up.
This is the best I got it.  The image is fabulous but my foiling
technique needs work.  Oh well, live and learn.

Here is the inside.

The back.

See a design team member doesn't always have success.  I guess it's not really bad.  I just wanted the image to come out crisp and clean.  I'll keep working on the technique.  I will see you in a fortnight for another challenge brought to you by Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge.

So until then from my heart to yours, Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed!!!

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge. Always Anything Goes #601

Hello everyone!  Summer was a little late this year for Oregon.  Well today 7-16-2025 will be in the triple digits.  Way to hot for this gal.  I'll stay in the house and craft!!!  Here are the sponsors for challenge #601.

These two sponsors are simply amazing with their artwork.  Many digital stamps to fit your needs.  Please go leave some love and maybe a thank you.

My image is from Colour Of Love and is titled Wild Gypsy Roses.   Here is my creation.

What a beautiful image from Heather.  Have you ever tried to
color black hair?  Well my black hair is actually blue indigo.  I
just could not make it using black.  I have used PrismaColor
pencils, Castle Arts oil colored pencils, Shuttle Art alcohol
markers and probably other items I have forgotten about.  I did
a print and cut leaving a slight border around.  The paper is some
that I picked up during a Tuesday Morning run in 2019.  The card
base is olive green and then a pale yellow floral  G45 card on top.

The inside has a wonderful verse that I found online.

Just a close up.
The back!

Well that is it for this fortnight.  I hope you all have a wonderful two weeks and I will see you then.

From my heart to yours,
Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed!

Penny's Paper Crafty challenge #600 Anything goes using paper

Hello from beautiful Oregon, USA.  It's almost our Independence Day which is July 4th.  Now in Oregon there is a phrase that 'summer starts on July 5th'.  That is going to be true for this year.  Tomorrow is July first and it's going to be 90+ degrees.  Rain is expected this coming weekend.  It's crazy!  But crafting is happening everyday.  So here are the sponsors for our 600th Challenge.

🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇

I have to admit, I love these sponsors.  The images are crisp and clean and perfect for print and cut.  They both have different styles.  So please go on over to each and leave a little love and maybe a thank you!

On to my project.  My image is from Mirtillamente Craft Shop and is titled Autumn Witch Hat.

I have a confession to make.  I am a planner person from way
back.  Absolutely love anything to help keep my life on track.
When I found the planner by Happy Planner I was hooked.  So
this is the 5th year using this system and I have pretty much
perfected the way I set each month up.  First I create a monthly
image page announcing the month.  So for October 2025 I have
colored using my shuttle art markers and paper piecing this
adorable Autumn Witch Hat.  I just happened onto this frame
featuring the moon and stars and it worked perfectly.  I cut
the frame out of royal blue glitter paper and the backing is a pretty
silver.  The paper background is from some book but I couldn't
tell you which.  The blue bubble edge is washi tape.

Here is a close up.  I paper pieced the book with some old scrap
of variegated tan paper.  October is cut from hot pink card stock.
The yellow flower and bright green button are from my big box
that is metal of buttons.

That is going to be it for this edition of Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge.  I hope to see you again in a fortnight.  So until then,

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed!
