My post for January with Simply Crafty SVG's 2020

My disclaimer...This is from 1-7-2019.  I haven't seen my mojo in a couple of weeks but didn't want to let the team down!

Whew!  The holidays are over.  Epiphany was yesterday.  My decorations need to be put away and decorate for Valentines Day.  This month I picked the Garden Shed to create.  With Valentines Day just around the corner,  I wanted to make the shed a Love Shack.  Remember the b-52's song Love Shack?  It was the inspiration.

Simply Crafts SVG's are wonderful to work with.  Sandy Stark (owner and creator) does incredible videos and and also provides a step by step PDF you can print out and follow.  So gang go check the website out!

Here is what I created.

Here is the Garden Shed as the Love Shack.  The two cute kids
are from Melonheadz.

The Front.

Lookie, the door actually opens.

Side photo.

The box portion is rather large.  I imagine
it will hold a bag of Hershey Kisses.

The other side on inside the box.

This is the roof.  I just love the paper.

Another presentation shot.

I had a lot of fun making this.  So happy that Sandy is agreeable to my wacky sense of humor.  Next months project hasn't been decided on yet.  So your guess is as good as mine!  So take care for now.

Bright blessings,

Merry Christmas with Simply Crafty SVG's

I am amazed at how time flies.  Seems like I just posted Veterans Day.  This month (i post on the first monday of the month) I have some Christmas cards I have made using Simply Crafty SVG's file Christmas double fold card set.  The set has 3 Christmas related ornaments.  A bell, tree and an ornament.  As usual this post is really picture heavy.  So let me show you my cards.

Here are the 3 styles of cards.

Here is the bell.  I made two of each.  You can always use
more Christmas cards.

The inside has a matching bell shape to write a note/greeting.

The inside and outside have panels that
match the paper under the bell shape.

Here is the tree. See the band around the card, it comes off
so the card can open.  Pretty clever!

See the band is off, the cards opens.

One side extended and showing the side panels.

Finally here is the ornament

Inside

The extended card.
So there you have it.  6 very easy Christmas card to make.  Of course, every file of Simply Crafty SVG's  comes with very detailed instructions.  If you ever have a question pls comment on Simply Crafty SVG's  facebook page.  Lots of great information and inspiration can be found here.

I will not see you again until Monday, January 7, 2019.   So from me to you...

Celebrating Veterans Day!

Welcome back to Have colors, be happy blog.  In 48 hours we will know the outcome of the midterm elections.  Between you and me, I hope that Americans show the white house what they really think about congress and the backbiting.  I for one, am sick and tired of it.  Enough of my rant.

Hi there crafties!  Today I am sharing a new project from Simply Crafty SVG'S.  You can find this amazing SVG right here:  4-Wheeling card svg file.  This would be a great card for Fathers Day or maybe a male birthday card.  The possibilities are endless.  That is exactly what I have done.

Here in Albany, OR, we have the BIGGEST Veterans Day Parade and Celebration this side of the Mississippi.  Here is a link to see some pics from previous years.  Albany Veterans Day Parade.  I have a dear sister of my heart who I am celebrating this Veterans Day.  So I have made this a military card.  She is Army and darned proud of it!  Here is what I came up with.

Here is my Army military vehicle.  I decided that my sister needed
to be a 5 star general.  Aren't the Uncle Sam hats great.  I used big
White sparkles for the head lights.  I was amazed that you can google
Army camo print and find sheets for scrapbooking.
This is a side view.  I hope that you can see that the hood of
the military vehicle lifts up.

I have printed a sentiment that I really hope my
sister knows how I feel.
The back of the card is totally white.  Here is where I will write a personal
note to sis.

I hope you have enjoyed my version of the vehicle.  Please remember to honor our Veterans and active service men and women.  My opinion, Bless them one and all.  We could be speaking German or Japanese.  My opinion only.

I will see you after Thanksgiving with what i bet will be a Christmas themed something.  But for now, Bright Blessings, Happy Veterans Day and Happy Thanksgiving!
