New project with Simply Crafty SVG'S

Hello everyone!  I am very honored to be able to show off what my project is this month.  I thought I would do a photo essay.  Here we go!

I used a heavy weight 12x12 enbossed brown for the base.

Sandy suggested something stiff.  I used a file folder.

Worked like a dream.

Leaves are also stiff paper.  Bazill maybe?

I had a bright idea.  How about watercolor paper for the flowers.
It's very stiff and my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers
would be beautiful.

I should have thought of this idea many moons ago.

Time to start putting this together.

Love the color scheme of the paper.

The back.

I inked the edges for the top of the pot.

Starting the flowers.

I wanted the Orchids to really stand out.  Bright pink fits the bill.

The flower buds.

Flowers are cut.

Here is the finished product.

The back panel.

The beauty shot!

So this is my project for this month.  Here is the link to the Orchid Box Card.  Sandy has wonderful directions that are clear and concise.  The SVG'S cut like butter.  I sure hope you can come on over to https://www.simplycraftysvgs.com.  Leave some love and find a project you love.  I will see you the first Monday in May!
Bright Blessings, Jana

Hello everyone.  Happy Easter.  I hope you day is filled with blessings.

I have a bon voyage card to share with you this challenge.  I has used a new design by Mary Smith.  This is called Vintage Butterfly Air Mail Digital Image.  I hope that you like what I did with it. But first lets list the colors used for this project.

 Prismacolor Pencils:
                                PC935, 1006, 1017, 1003, 924, 913, 1079, 956,
                                1036, 1094, 105, 929
                            Papers:
Pack Your Bags 12 x 12 by Little Yellow Bicycle
Graphic 45 On the Boardwalk serie
                            Tools
                                  Loctite Spray Adhesive
                                  Tonic Extreme point scissors
                                  Rotary cutter and matt
                                  Von Bovage Mirror embellishment
The kitchen sink and other stuff I never
                                   remember and never write down.

Here is what I came up with.  Remember friends our blog challenges are always ATG, with an added element if you would like to use it.  This time it's add lace.

Tell me what you think...

The front

The inside
The back.  If you look closely, the travel theme is
carried throughout the card.

That is it for the month of April.  May 1st will be coming really fast.  May your days be filled with wonder and blessings.  Take care,
