Hello everyone.  Hope everyone is doing well.  We have a huge amount of rain to be falling shortly.  Estimate is 2-4 inches.  Local flooding.  Welcome to Winter in Oregon.  This is the last challenge of 2023.  I have a really cute project to share for this challenge.  Here are the sponsors:

Wow!  These 2 sponsors are fabulous.  Besides having a large amount of digital images to fit your needs, the images are crisp and clean and a dream to color.  Please go show some love and say a thank you!

My project is a Christmas card using the image Angel Wings from All Dressed Up Stamps.  Here is my card!

I have colored hair, dress and the halo with my
Arteza Colored Pencils. I applied gold glitter to the wings.  Red
card base then layered with green and mirror red.

I layered the same way for the inside and then printed a
sentiment with my laser printer.  I dug out some gold foil and
applied it using my Foilmaster.  I think it turned out very nice!

I also made a bright red envelope.  I do not know who will get this yet.  I am behind in sending my Christmas cards out.

That's it for 2023 Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge.  I will be back in January!  From my heart to yours,

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and know you are blessed.

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!!!

Penny's Challenge #560

Hello everyone!  In the USA it's Happy Thanksgiving.  Travel mercies to all who are traveling.  Short and sweet post.  Here are the sponsors.

Prize~~2 Digi's of the winners choice

Prize~~3 digi's of the winners choice

Two fabulous sponsors for this fortnights challenge.  Love working with both of them.  Go say a thank you and leave some love.  They really do appreciate it.

On to my creation.  My image is from Mirtillamente Craft Shop and is titled Santa Ops.  Here is my creation.
I have always been told that I have a great sense of humor.  It
has helped greatly when coming up with captions.  I paper
pieced all of Santa and the snow.  I used my Prismacolor Pencils
for Santa's Sack and the presents.  The base is AC Cardstock
and I layered on a scrap of blue for the night sky.  Punched out
a fir tree with a die and embossed with a very old snowflake
stamp using WOW embossing powder.  The background is a
Christmas/Winter table cloth.

Sorry it's blurry.  Gold embossed Merry Christmas.

The back of the card.

Well that's it for this creation.  I will be back in two weeks for another challenge from Penny's.  I am now off to make an Apple Pie.  So from my heart to yours...

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know that you are blessed!

Penny's Challenge #559 Anything Goes!

Hello all!  How was your Halloween?  Here at home I make special packages filled with goodies for the littles across and next door to me.  But, my daughter and daughter in law live in a very affluent area in Salem, OR, USA.  They are finding out that their area is where everyone loves to trick or treat.  They had a grand total of 406, yes 406 kids visit.  They gave out 6 really large bags of candy (the Costco size ones).  Just amazing.  That's my update!  Here are this challenge sponsors.

Boy this challenge has some fabulous sponsors.  I love designing and creating with all of them.  Gang please go say a thank you and leave some love.  They might also have a challenge to enter.

My image is from Ching-Chou Kuik and is titled Lighting Up.  I got to practice my blending on this project.  Here it is!

I think that I used every color in marker, pens and colored
pencils I own.  The card is from Joanns.  The blue mirrored
paper is from Dollar Tree.  Die cut behind image is from
Spellbinders and the corner decorations are leftovers of the
die cut.  This image actually took about 4 tries before I was
satisfied with the results.  Love how the blending turned out.
I used my sparkle gel pens and metallic colored pencils to
add some bling.  I colored her skin a very light powder blue.
Her hair is blue gel pen and her eyes are green.

Here is a better image of the front.  I have made it into an
easel card.

The bottom of the easel card is shown above.  You can now see
the actual die shape.  The Merry Christmas is another die from
KSCraft cut out of red glitter.  The easel stop is a pretty star
with a clear gem in the middle.

This is the envelope.

Well what do you think?  I actually am pretty pleased with myself.  Learned a couple new tricks and new techniques for coloring.  I am a happy camper!!!  So from my heart to yours,

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and know you are blessed.

Happy Veteran's Day!

Penny's #558 Anything Goes

Hello and Happy Halloween everyone!  Around our neighborhood we don't have many littles anymore.  I have 4 littles that I make special treat boxes filled with candy.  I also sometimes make little baskets for the adults also.  But I don't give out candy and my light is out and the cats are in.  That's my Halloween.  What do you do in your neck of the woods?  On to the challenge...

Prize~~Voucher for 3 sets

Prize~~2 Digi images of the winners choice

Absolutely love creating with these 2 sponsors.  Their images are crisp and clean and trace wonderfully.  Great for Print and Cut.  Go show some love and say thank you please.

My image this challenge is from Hetty Clare. The image is called Christmouse Wishes.  This is my design.

This image is so cute.  I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils.
Next did a PNC and the image was ready to put on my card.
The card base is royal blue.  The snowflake paper is one I have
collected over the years.  I used 3 different colors of green to
die cut the trees.  I inked the edges of the snow in baby blue.
The snow banks are made of a cloud die.  The Let It Snow
sentiment is also a die.  Cut out of lavender shiny paper.

Here you can see more of the snowflake paper and the die cut
trees.  Both sentiments are die cuts.

The back.

This was a very relaxing card to make.  I am all for anything relaxing.  I am taking care of my significant other right now.  He recently have a stroke and has dementia.  Not fun but thank God for my daughters and a craft room to escape too.

So from my heart to yours...

Stay safe, Stay Healthy and know you are blessed.

Penny's #557 Challenge

Hello hello hello!  Welcome to my blog.  Where I live it is rainy windy and for me perfect weather in Oregon.  I just can't take the heat anymore.  So just got back from the grocery store.  I bought ingredients for bean soup and beef stew.  It's my favorite time of the year.  It's also time for another challenge at Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge.  Here are the sponsors.

Prize~2 Digi images of the winners choice

💦💨💦💨💦💨💧

Prize~3 Digi images of the winners choice

These two sponsors have been around for quite a few years.  Know why?  Their images are fantastic.  Your can chose from a variety of images and they are very nice to work with.  Gang, please go show some love and leave a thank you.

My project is a slimline card using an image from Paper Nest Dolls called Owen with toy boat.  Here we go...

This was a fast one to put together.  I colored the skin and
the sailors hat.  Made a very colorful toy boat and then paper
pieced his shorts.  The background is scraps I have had in my
file cabinent.

More scraps are used and I die cut the sentiment.

The back.

Told you it was a quick card.  It is so nice to have die cuts left over to use in another project.  That's what makes some cards go together really fast.  I will be back in two weeks with another project (that I am finishing as we speak)  So from my heart to yours,

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed.

Penny's Challenge #556 Anything Goes

Hello everyone!  As I sit here in front of my computer writing this blog installment, outside is rainy, really windy and the perfect weather for an Oregonian, USA.   I truly love gray and wet days.  There is a saying about Oregonians; you know it raining when an Oregonian uses an umbrella.  (hahaha!  Usually just boots and hoodies). I have an adorable story and card for this challenge at Penny's.  Here are the sponsors!

Prize~~2 Digi images of the winners choice

Prize~~3 Digi images of the winners choice

Boy Howdy!! What a pair of amazing sponsors.  Please gang go show some love and say thank you!  It does warm their hearts.

Here we go!  This image was pretty complex to create with.  But for the first time, I wrote a story to go along with the card.  My image is from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and is titled The Stump and Spigot.
I actually stepped outside my comfort zone.  Here we go!

I used my Prismacolor Pencils, Arteza Pencils, Shuttle Art
Alcohol Markers and paper piecing for this image.  I also used
a brown and blue embossed papers I have had forever.  Then I
using a grass metal die in two sizes for background.  To add
dimension I used pop dots.  The card is dark brown and does
not show up really well on a black background.  Sorry.

Here is the story that I wrote.  I do not know what type of card
this will become yet.

I made this picture extra large so it's easier to read.

The back and my inital.

Well I would love some comments.  This was very fun and I think I will do more creative writing soon.  So from my heart to yours,

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed.

Penny's Challenge #555 Anything Goes

Hello everyone!  I have been toying with the idea of redesigning this blog and my other blog.  I haven't changed the Rhapsody On Paper one since before covid.  So I think it's time.  Wish me luck.  I do enjoy the designing.  On to our challenge #555.  Here are the sponsors.

All Dressed Up Digi stamps with love
Prize~~2 Digi images of the winners choice

Jan's Digi Stamps
Prize~~$6 Store Voucher

Aren't these two companies awesome.  Each of them graciously allow design teams to select an image and then show off the creation.  Both have wonderful crisp and clean digital stamps.  Please friends go and show some love and a brief thank you.  The sponsors really do look at these remarks.

On to my project.  It is called Sunflower from All Dressed Up.  So here it is.

This was a great card design.  I used the colors of Purple and
Orange as a focus.  I colored the sunflower, skin, hair and
watering pail using my Prismacolor Pencils.  I dug out some
Summer looking stickers and applied them to the card.  I paper
pieced the blouse and skirt.  The background paper is just a
small piece that I thought looked like a sky.  I made the grass
from a small bit of glitter card.

This is where my sticker fun overloaded.  I just used them all.
The friend that the card is going to won't mind one little bit.

The back of my card.

The envelope.

I have started decorating the envelopes also.  It just adds a really nice touch.  Doesn't take any extra time.  I also have a wonderful helper that I was able to get a picture of.

This is my ginger kitty named Little One.  Now
my daughter would say his name is Chicken Wing.
Don't ask.  I guess it was a song on TikTok.

This is my snuggle kitty named Snowflake.  She
loves to cuddle and get into everything.  A true
crafting buddy!

So I do have one more kitty.  But Emmie wasn't going to stay still enough for the camera.  Well that's it for this fortnight.  I'll be back with another project in 14 days.  So until then from my heart to yours,

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed!
