May Day Basket using Simply Crafty SVG's

Hello!  Well just a little over a month ago here in Oregon we were experiencing temps in the upper 20's and snow.  Mother nature is amazing.  Today the last day of March it was 71 and sunny.  The new bees are out and the jonquils are just about ready to bloom.  That means that May Day is just around the corner!  Do you know what May Day is all about?  Here is a great article about the origins and what May Day is now.

For this months post I am showing an example of a May Day Basket using the octagon box with handle.  Sandy Stark, the owner and the designer of Simply Crafty SVG's has designed a beautiful box pattern that is very easy to make.  It also has so many possibilities.  This is what I have created!

Here is my finished box.  I have used G45 papers exclusively for this octagon box.

Here is a close up of the tag.  All the papers and the sticker for the tag
 are in the Graphic 45 Bohemian Bazaar Collection.

The front of the box.  I had some very cute daisy trim and bright yellow
rick rack to add to the panels.

This is the back but looks exactly like the front.

This is the inside.  I love this paper.  Double sided with bright
happy colors are a winner in my book.

This is the bottom of the box.  I love how every piece of paper matches.

I had a ball making this octagon box.  I intend to make a few more and leave them on my neighbors door step on May Day.  Just a little neighborhood relations!

Simply Crafty SVG's March 4 2019

Hello all!  I am back for the first Monday of the month with a new project.  Since it is March I needed to make treat boxes for the crew at work for St. Patrick's Day.  I found a wonderful file from Simply Crafty Svg's that is just perfect. 

Before I show you what I have made,  did you know that there is a facebook group for Simply Crafty SVG's???  Well here is the link Simply Crafty SVG'S.  Come visit and share your creations using Simply Craftys amazing SVG files. We would love to see them!

Here we go!  This is the file I am using.  Pot Of Gold Treat Box.  These turned out so stinking cute.  Here are some pics of the piecing together part.

The boxes are made and the mirror paper rainbow done

I wanted a space to write so I cut out more
of the pots and put them on the back.

I had made black pots and embossed them.  Didn't like it.
So I found some green G45 Bohemian Baazar Vivid Splendor.
Then cut out more pots.

Ready to be glued together.

All the pieces are ready for assembly

I got my double sided tape out and framed the boxes on both
sides.  This really helped in the assembly.

Here are three of the treat boxes.  I did 3 with the Happy
St. Patrick's on the green kettle.

And these 3 I put the shamrocks on the green kettle.  I just wanted them different.

Valentines Day Bags for Simply Crafty SVG'S

Hey everyone!  It's the first Monday of the month of February.  It's time to show you what I have created using the file Valentines Day Bag.  I try to show my appreciation to the employees each holiday.  Candy is essential and if it's chocolate all the better.  So I made one for each of the crew.

This bag is a little tricky to put together.  Just make sure that you score your lines first, just like Sandy says to.  The bags go together very easily when you glue/tape the bottoms closed.  Then it's just a little creasing to make the bags fabulous.  So here is what I made. 

These are for the men in the shop.

These are for the ladies in the shop.

See how nicely the bags are creased.  

I used little bitty pieces of sticky Velcro to seal the bags.

So these are the little treats for the people in the shop.  Had a lot of fun making them.  Let your imagination lose and design something wonderful.  So many uses for these little bags.  I hope that you try this file out.
