Hello everyone.  Happy Easter.  I hope you day is filled with blessings.

I have a bon voyage card to share with you this challenge.  I has used a new design by Mary Smith.  This is called Vintage Butterfly Air Mail Digital Image.  I hope that you like what I did with it. But first lets list the colors used for this project.

 Prismacolor Pencils:
                                PC935, 1006, 1017, 1003, 924, 913, 1079, 956,
                                1036, 1094, 105, 929
                            Papers:
Pack Your Bags 12 x 12 by Little Yellow Bicycle
Graphic 45 On the Boardwalk serie
                            Tools
                                  Loctite Spray Adhesive
                                  Tonic Extreme point scissors
                                  Rotary cutter and matt
                                  Von Bovage Mirror embellishment
The kitchen sink and other stuff I never
                                   remember and never write down.

Here is what I came up with.  Remember friends our blog challenges are always ATG, with an added element if you would like to use it.  This time it's add lace.

The front

The inside
The back.  If you look closely, the travel theme is
carried throughout the card.

That is it for the month of April.  May 1st will be coming really fast.  May your days be filled with wonder and blessings.  Take care,

First Monday Project for Simply Crafty SVG's

Hello everyone!  I am so happy to be able to show you my project for March using Simply CraftySVG's beautiful pattern for a Dragon Fly Tealight Holder SVG file.

Now I have to confess, I am brand new to 3D SVG's.  I am a card maker for the last 5 years.  But I have wanted to give this a try for a long time now.  So just remember, I am going to make the mistakes first and tell you about it,  before you make the same mistake.  I hope to save you some heartache!

Now I just love this pattern.  It's pretty simple.  BUT I screwed it up anyway.  I believe that I have brought this pattern into Sure Cuts A Lot 4 (SCAL4) at the wrong size.  I didn't look at the printed very detailed instructions with the measurements at the top.  So, needless to say, my lantern went together just fine but it is certainly not the size it was supposed to be.

So here are this weeks colors (items used):

Recollections paper Orange
Bazil Bronze paper
Michaels Clear Vellum
Dollar Tree:  JOT paper foil & holographic foil
                      Gems
                      Tealights
3M ATG
Adhesive Tech fine line glue
Marvy Glue Tape MINI
Loctite Spray Adhesive

Silver Bullet 24" Pro Electronic cutter, Sure Cuts A Lot 4 (SCAL4) Cricut tools and finally needle nosed tweesers.

This post is really picture heavy, sorry everyone!

Here is how I start each project.  Making sure everything matches.

In the colors list are papers that I found at Dollar Tree.  They cut like butter.
Do not know if they still have them, but go look!  Oh they have glitter paper
also.

Cutting Dragonfly wings

All the pieces are cut out and ready to assemble

All the pic up until now are following the instructions.  The next pics I got creative.

multiple flowers cut to make them pop out.

Vellum attached to the back and put on the lantern sides

All put together time for the bottom

I used my ATG to put the bottom on.

Here is the beautiful Dragonfly Tea Light Lantern finished!

Hope that you enjoyed my project for March.  Now the next Simply Crafty SVG's post will be the first Monday in April.  That's my spot.   So for now, I wish you bright blessings and your best month ever!
Love and Hugs, Jana

Createful Hearts Challenge # 12

Hello Hello!  Seems like such a long time since we got together to chat.  First something new for the Challenge on Mary's website, Createful Hearts Digi's and Designs.  Each challenge will begin on the first of the month and run through the 29th or 30th of the month.  The theme is always anything goes with the option of (for this month) add green or a shamrock.  This is going to be a fun one!

Now I requested this image from Mary quite a long time ago.  It is called Floral Hug Digital Stamp.
Coloring  was done with my new Prismacolor colored pencils (The Bob got them for me at Christmas the 150 set)  I haven't gotten used to writing down each and every pencil I have used.  I will try to do better.

So here is what I have created~~~

Here is the front of the card.  Just learning how to blend colors
to make the flowers look realistic

This is the inside where I will be able to write a note

This is the back.  I think it is time to create a new spring edition of
the back stamp.  Maybe something with flowers?

Short, sweet and to the point this challenge.  Remember to read the rules on this link to Marys website.  Sure hope you have a wonderful month and see you in April!

Bright blessings for you best week ever!  Jana
