Gift Box for Daughter In Law

Can I tell you how much I enjoy making Simply Crafty SVG's?  I am completely addicted.  I just wish there were more hours in the day to craft!  Thank you Sandy for creating absolutely fabulous files for everyone to create!

My Daughter-in-laws birthday was the end of January.  We don't celebrate it until after the Super Bowl is done with (Yeah KC Chiefs).  I have several presents for her but I try to make something also.  After looking at all of Sandy's files, I have chosen the 3D Dog House file.  Just a quick note, my DIL is a Veterinarian so this is perfect.

I had bought some tan/beige double sided heavy cardstock a while back.  Even though it has images on the other side I loved the color of the beige.  That is the main component of the dog house.  Let me show you what I have created...

Isn't she adorable.  The eyes were a gift from a friend.  But little Maggie
has a sassy grim from ear to ear.

I used brown Pebbles Chalk to chalk the edges of the shingles.

I have held on to this paper for at least 5 years.  I found it on clearance at
Joanns.  It is glitter paper.  I knew I would use it for DIL someday!

This is what I was talking about with the cream colored card stock.  I don't
think it is to bad for the inside of a doggies house.  You could call it designer
wall paper!

Well that all for this month.  I hope that you will go and check out Simply Crafty SVG's.  Sandy has a file for every holiday.  Remember Valentines Day is almost here.  Take care and see you in March 2020.

Bright Blessings,

Getting ready for Valentines Day 2020

My disclaimer...This is from 1-7-2019.  I haven't seen my mojo in a couple of weeks but didn't want to let the team down!

Whew!  The holidays are over.  Epiphany was yesterday.  My decorations need to be put away and decorate for Valentines Day.  This month I picked the Garden Shed to create.  With Valentines Day just around the corner,  I wanted to make the shed a Love Shack.  Remember the b-52's song Love Shack?  It was the inspiration.

Simply Crafts SVG's are wonderful to work with.  Sandy Stark (owner and creator) does incredible videos and and also provides a step by step PDF you can print out and follow.  So gang go check the website out!

Here is what I created.

Here is the Garden Shed as the Love Shack.  The two cute kids
are from Melonheadz.

The Front.

Lookie, the door actually opens.

Side photo.

The box portion is rather large.  I imagine
it will hold a bag of Hershey Kisses.

The other side on inside the box.

This is the roof.  I just love the paper.

Another presentation shot.

I had a lot of fun making this.  So happy that Sandy is agreeable to my wacky sense of humor.  Next months project hasn't been decided on yet.  So your guess is as good as mine!  So take care for now.

Bright blessings,

Merry Christmas for our Doggies and Kitties!

I try to come up with new treats for my kitty Emmie and my grand kitties and grand doggies.  My DIL is a Veterinarian.  They have 3 kitties and 4 doggies.  So I have a bunch of Christmas presents to make and give.  Thank goodness for Simply Crafty SVGs.  Sandy has the purrrfect stocking box just for the animals in our life.  Here is some pics of the finished boxes.  4 Cat and 4 Dog stockings.

Here is a pic of all the stocking boxes I made.  The boxes are made out of
NeeNah solid color cardstock and the sides are Co'Ordinations.

These two have paper from the Jolly Stack by American Crafts, bones are
made from scraps.  Next I cut some tinsel and used curling ribbon to make
each box unique.

I think you can see the names on the small bones at the top of each stocking box.
The paper used here is from Graphic 45 '12 days of Christmas'.  The paper
name is Joyeux Noel.

Now on to the cats.  The girls have picked names from the greek gods for their
fur babies.  Paper for these two are, on the left Sweater Weather 'snow friends'
by American Crafts.  The right is another G45.

I named our fur baby to match the Wizard of Oz.  We have had Munchkin
Forrest, Spooky Forrest and currently Emerald Forrest (Emmie for short).
These two stocking boxes are the same as the ones above.

This project went together very quickly once I got started.  Christmas/Yule season is always a race
to get everything done and ready.  I don't take down decorations until Twelfth Night.  I do love all my lights and shinys.

I wish each of you a bright and glorious Christmas (however you celebrate).  I will see you the 1st Monday of January 2020.
