It's almost Fathers Day!

Happy first Monday of the beautiful month of June 2018! I am so excited that you came to visit.  This  Simply Crafty SVG's file was a bit of a stretch for me.  But with Sandy's very concise and very clear instruction PDF I had no troubles.  But first lets see what I used in the box of crayons (items used to create the new project).

So on to the reveal!

This is the front of the card.  I made extra of the tools so I could
decorate the front.  The envelope is decorated with another tool chest.  It says
Happy Birthday Bob!

This is the card before opening.

The inside.  I tried to make it look exactly like the garage at home.
The floor is the same.  Workbench and tool chest are just like
the ones in the garage.

This is what the card looks like from the side.

My husband's nick name is Grumpy Gus.  So that's the name of the garage.

This is a look at the top of the tool chest and the tool bench.

Sunflower cards from Simply Crafty SVG's

Hello everyone!  It's the first Monday of the month and my turn to showcase another amazing svg file from Simply Crafty SVG's.  Now I don't know about you personally, but for me nothing says summer more than sunflowers and gerbera daisies.  I just love them.  So I have picked out Sunflower Card SVG File for this month.  This file would also be wonderful for Mothers Day this weekend.

Rather than just write about how I did these, I took a lot of pics.  So you have been warned.

Lets get started!

There are two types of cards available in the SVG file.  So I am making both.

A little trick...I use wrapping paper that I got for holidays that is
double sided.  I got a wonderful buy at Costco.  Here is one side.

This shows the opposite side of the paper.

I have a Silver bullet Pro 24" cutting machine.  Don't know what I would do
without it.  I have used a force of 25 and a speed of 300.   I hope you can see
the flowers I have cut for the sunflower design.

Weeded like butter!

Now I have one that is gold and one that is holographic.  Love this paper.

The other shiny and holographic papers are from Dollar Tree.  Just
amazing what you find there.

New project with Simply Crafty SVG'S

Hello everyone!  I am very honored to be able to show off what my project is this month.  I thought I would do a photo essay.  Here we go!

I used a heavy weight 12x12 enbossed brown for the base.

Sandy suggested something stiff.  I used a file folder.

Worked like a dream.

Leaves are also stiff paper.  Bazill maybe?

I had a bright idea.  How about watercolor paper for the flowers.
It's very stiff and my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers
would be beautiful.

I should have thought of this idea many moons ago.

Time to start putting this together.

Love the color scheme of the paper.

I inked the edges for the top of the pot.

I wanted the Orchids to really stand out.  Bright pink fits the bill.
